The Golem LaboraTORiAH project was a ‘new-processual’ performance, in which the text of the play was created as it was performed. Golem was first staged in 2007 in Vienna at the Tikun Olam International Festival of Jewish Theatre, where Boris Yukhananov's LaboraTORiAH presented a composition of texts based on the Jewish holy book, The Tanakh, and G. Leivik's play The Golem (translated from the Yiddish by V. Dymshits, I. Bulatovsky and V. Fedchenko). Book of Reflection, published alongside the play text, contains a complete collection of writings and reviews about LaboraTORiAH's Golem from 2007 to 2011, photographs of performers and audience members over the last two years, as well as performance costumes designed by Yuri Kharikov.
